I CAN THANK BOBBY EFLAND'S INFLUENCE IN MY LIFE FOR THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN A POLICE OFFICER FOR 50 YEARS INSTEAD OF IN JAIL OR WORSE. HE AND BILLY EFLAND WERE THE MOST POSITIVE INFLUENCE FOR ME. Bobby was like a Dad to me I remember skating with him when I was a kid and then working for him part-time at the mini-mart when I got older and even stayed at his place at the beach a few times . He was a sweet kind man and I know his family will miss him. My thoughts and Prayers go out to Mark and Debra and all of their family. But we know he is in a better place. God Bless Shirley W. Price

Bobby was like another Daddy to us Lawrence children,Tommy,Sarah,and Catherine because we skated at Playland Skating Rink so often! Our parents knew that he would take care of us there and set us straight if we needed it!!!!! My memories of Bobby and all the Eflands are dear to my heart and I miss those fun times we had there growing up! As we grew up we were even able to take our own children there to skate! What memories for certain! My prayers go out to Debra and all the family as I know how hard it is to lose our parents. May God give you all strength for the difficult and lonely days ahead without you beloved Daddy. He will always be remembered and loved by me and my family!

Such a wonderful man!! I went skating there every chance I could. He and his brother ran a really good place for the teens back then. He called me one night in Burlington and told me I needed to come to the skating rink that night because the people from Danville were there. Made me feel so special that he wanted me there. Danville had some great skaters and they also showed off for everyone. Thank you Bobby for all the great times at Playland ! Prayers for his family during this most difficult time. Sincerely.
