I was blessed to have many memories with “Eduardo” as I used to call him and to be honest in the beginning, I thought he was an angry, mean person, but with time and through the years I got to know him better. Every morning he’d be the first at the shop and we’d talk about work and our families. With time we got more comfortable and started messing around with each other! I then created a new nickname that ended up sticking, we called him good grumpy. & you’ll have to excuse our French but we’d often ask each other if we were going to be f*cking off! Every morning from then it was always “Morning MF, go do something and not just walk around with your hands in your pants” Man o man we used to mess around with each other a lot! I’d hide his radio along with other items or I’d put soda cans in the back of his truck and he’d always know it was that “F*cker Arturo” It was love all around in our own manner, he was always goofing around and I was privileged enough to see that side of him! May my good grumpy rest in peace. Thank you Ed for always trying to teach me and for all the great talks we used to have. Sincerely, your good friend Arturo the Mexican guy.

Ed will be greatly missed. He loved to have a good time and he loved his family.
Growing up across the road from him, I have lots of fun childhood memories. A personal tease I had with Ed was about his age. He was 11 months older but I always used his leap year age making him forever "younger" than me.
Just recently he saw me at my grandfather Carey's house and pulled in. We spent a long time talking about old times, our family's and worrying about the crazy times our grandchildren were going to face as they grow up. We had a good laugh about all the times riding to school in is old chevy. How we made it was a miracle.
He had his own health issues, but he always ask about me and how I was doing. That was the Ed that I knew.
For the past several years almost every morning we would hear Ed crank up his old black SUV. With that rumbly muffler he would come down his driveway, turn on White Cross Road heading to the store or the shop. I miss that.

I am sorry for your loss. I remember Ed coming to our house to hang out with Tom. I bet they are having a great time together in heaven!

What a lovely tribute to Ed. He will always be remembered as hardworking and ready to help in the community when needed. One of several grandchildren of Aunt Alice and Uncle Jeter, he could enjoy a good time with almost anyone. He and Wesley were always ready to help out with equipment to repair a drive, dig a foundation and/or bring heavy equipment to Vacation Bible School for the kiddos to climb on!! May he rest in Peace.
