I had the honor of working with Kearney for over 20 years at LSB. He was one of the kindest and gentlest souls I have ever met. He always had a smile and a kind word. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

To all the family, I send my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Kearney. He was a wonderful man, and I so enjoyed my years of getting to know him in Lexington through the bank, Kiwanis, and working with the school board. I have no doubt he's shaking hands and sharing stories in heaven today and trying to recruit a few Tarheel fans. May Gods arms wrap you all in comfort and know I'll pray for you over the weeks ahead.
