Dear Friends, I am Arlene M. Hole whom Mabel and Owen purchased their present property from to move their house to. My heart was deeply saddened when I saw the obit in the paper. I found Mabel and Owen to be such loving sincere people. They would come up to water the tree which her Dad gave her on the old property and we would sit and talk. One day she said to us" I just don't like this picture". I want you folks to stay and be our neighbors. We kept in touch with Christmas cards all these 13 years. Owen I trust God will give you peace of mind and comfort in the days ahead. Bill passed in 2015 and it has been very difficult for me. Sally , rest in the comfort of the legacy your other left for you and others. She loved you dearly and spoke often of you when we were together. Much love, Arlenel.

Mable mothered me as much as possible from a distance. Last year's Christmas card pointed out that I was always in her heart, but lived "too far away". I can remember how helpful she was going with me to "Walmark" to pick out quilt fabrics for a baby quilt for my godchild's new baby. She'd never met either of them. It was gorgeous. He still treasures it. When I was in treatment for cancer, she not only kept me on the prayer list, but had the ladies of her church send me a prayer blanket to sit under, because chemo can be very cold. This loss feels profound to me as one who was virtually adopted. My prayers go on for Owen and Sally. Monica Gilligan
