I enjoyed his wit, curiosity, humor and tremendous drive to help people succeed in marketing, business and life. Who but C.L. could write a marvelous obituary; with all of the wonderful things for which to remember him, this will be at the top of the list. Hard to believe it’s been more than 45 years since I walked into C.L.’s marketing class at Kenan Flagler, remember so well his references to his South American experiences and his time at Harvard. C.L. made it an easy choice to take every marketing course he taught. Dixie and I were blessed to get to know C.L. both socially and competitively (across the net) and for our son, Matt, to then get to know him well also.
