Obituary of William Edgar Stone

Chapel Hill - William "Bill" Edgar Stone III was born on December 18, 1962 and departed this life on October 15, 2014. He was the son of Annie Virginia Hinsley Stone and the late William Edgar Stone Jr. Surviving are his wife, Pam Stone, daughter, Brittany Stone, son Tyler Stone, and sister, Carol Fogleman. Bill was a faithful husband and loving father who valued family above all else; including his in-laws Bobby and Jean White, and his brother-in-law Ricky White. He treasured his nephews, many cousins, and church family as well. Bill was the proud owner of Stone Services Inc. - Heating, Cooling, and Electrical. He was admired for his work ethic and his fairness to others. When he was not working he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated a chance to hunt, fish, or just be out in God's creation. Bill was most well known for his outgoing personality, his warmth to strangers, and his faith in Jesus. He attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Chapel Hill all of his life. The Visitation will be held at Mt. Carmel on Friday, October 17 at 12pm in the Fellowship Hall. The Celebration of Bill's life will also be on Friday, October 17, and begin at 2pm in the Mt. Carmel Sanctuary. Flowers are appreciated or memorials can be given to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund. Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill is honored to serve the Stone family.
