Obituary of Barbara Eileen Brown

Barbara Eileen Brown, 71, of Hillsborough passed away October 22, 2014. She was born on April 3, 1943 to the late J. L. Brown, Jr. and Mildred Corbett Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, James R. Crisp, Jr. and sister, Julia Brown. Barbara graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended UNC Chapel Hill. She worked at the Intimate Book Shop in Chapel Hill for 30 years. Following that she and her husband together owned and operated Southern Treasures antique shop in Pittsboro. Barbara was known by all for her smile and positive attitude and she greatly loved spending time with her family and her husband's family. Those left to cherish her memory include brother, Justin L. Brown and his wife Julia of Fuquay-Varina; nephews, Corey Brown and his wife Jennifer of FL, Jeremy Brown and his wife Ciara of Carrboro, Daniel Brown of UT; great nephew, Alex Brown, and 3 loving Kitties. Service will be 2:30 PM Sunday, October 26 at Walker's Funeral Home, Hillsborough. Burial will follow in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery, Hillsborough.
