Obituary of Kevin Kregg Ward

Last Friday, the lives of many people were changed with the loss of Kevin Kregg Ward (Age 50). Kevin was born on September 9th, 1964 and passed away on May 22nd, 2015. Kevin battled kidney failure for the last three years of his life. He stayed strong as he awaited a kidney and never lost hope. He was a great father, sibling, and friend that will leave an unfillable hole in the hearts of many. Whether it be at his home in Chapel Hill, one of the many places of work, or out to eat, Kevin shined a light that was impossible to miss. He was a joker and generally fun to be around. It was easy to find him with a smile on his face and many others smiling around him. Kevin greatly loved his family and friends to an extent that cannot be placed into words. His daughter, Casey Ann Ward , was the apple of his eye. It was regular to find Kevin proudly speaking of his daughter, especially about her golfing and college education. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Jasper Paul Ward and Julia Octavia Ward. Also preceding him in death were his siblings Jasper Ward Jr., Colette Johnson (Donald), Clifford Ward, and niece Wendy Smith (Randy). Kevin's oldest sister Louanne Dillard (Donnie) is currently living in Jacksonville, Fl. Mourning the loss of Kevin are Nieces and Nephews Tim Ward of Chapel hill, Alexis Johnson, Alex Johnson (Allison) of Jacksonville Fl, and Nikki Turner of Chapel Hill. Also mourning the death of Kevin is a large number of great nieces, nephews, and friends.
