Obituary of Erin Elizabeth Koontz Farrior

Erin Elizabeth Koontz Farrior September 21, 1977 - June 12, 2015 Erin Elizabeth Koontz Farrior passed away peacefully on June 12 at the home of her mother. Born September 21, 1977, she was the daughter of Vicki Osborne Koontz and Jerry Paul Koontz. In addition to her parents, Erin is survived by her sister, Laura Koontz Eversole and her husband, Scott of Idyllwild, CA, grandmother, Mabel Shoaf Koontz of Chapel Hill, aunts, Lea Kendall of Aquadale, and Nancy May of Atlanta, one cousin, Rell Kendall of Charlotte, her best friend, Steven Pierce of Burlington, and her loyal companion and pet, Daisy Jayne. Erin graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1995, received her B.S. in Political Science from Lenoir Rhyne College in 2000, and an M.A. in Secondary Education from UNC-G. She taught school at Western High School in Greensboro, was Director of Academic Studies at UNC-G and worked most recently at Measurement Inc., in Durham. Erin was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chapel Hill and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 2pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
