Obituary of Wayne Dalton Williamson

Wayne Dalton Williamson, 67, of Chapel Hill passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at UNC Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Crabtree Williamson; his son, Christopher Wayne Williamson and wife, Lilly Henderson Williamson of Gibsonville, NC; two grandchildren, Graham Warriner Williamson and Zella Grace Williamson; a daughter, Katherine Ann Williamson, and granddaughter Aria Rose Williamson of Chapel Hill; and a sister, Carole Newbill Williamson of Burlington, NC. He is predeceased by his parents, Ernest Warriner Williamson and Elva Smith Williamson of Chapel Hill. He was born July 6, 1948 in Chapel Hill and graduated from Elon University. He was a life-long outdoorsman and avid supporter of UNC Athletics. A private service will be held on the Williamson family farm in Virginia at a later date.
