I realize that this message comes very late after Grandpa Ballard's passing, but I wanted to express my sincere condolences to his family in North Carolina and any other places that his and Betty's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren may reside. I did not know much about my Grandpa Ballard, but I do remember talking on the phone to him when I was younger and a few gifts he'd send me as well. I know he was a wonderful man who had a big heart and I wish I would've had the opportunity to see him in person. I will remember him fondly and, the first visit to NC that I'm able to make, I will pay my respects to him properly. To all of you who survived Grandpa Ballard, I wish you all a wonderful and happiness-filled life.
