Obituary of John Willie Keeter

Mebane, NC - John Willie Keeter, 75, of Mebane, NC passed away at his home, Tuesday, May 02, 2016 after a short illness. Mr. Keeter was born November 1, 1940 in Orange County, NC, to the late Joseph Charles and Bertha Lee Everett Keeter. John attended Orange County schools, and worked at Belleview and then Efland Hosiery until his retirement. He loved to work on and sell cars but he truly loved his nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Transportation Specialist. In addition to his parents Mr. Keeter is preceded in death by his brother, W.C. Keeter and his sister Inez Price. Left to cherish his memory is his son, John Keeter of Mebane, NC, his granddaughter, Brittany Mitchell of Mebane, NC, his sister, Elizabeth K. Wilkins (John) of Dunn, NC and his nieces and nephews. The family will receive family and friends, Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at the Walker's Funeral Home, Hillsborough, NC, and at other times at the home of Edna Thompson, 148 King Edward Street, Hillsborough, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 6, 2016 at Walker's Funeral Home, interment will follow at Hillsborough Town Cemetery.
