Frances Ann Roberts Sharpe - On Thursday, May 5, 2016, Frances Ann Roberts Sharpe passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded bv her family. Frances was born and raised in the Cedar Grove Township of Orange County; the youngest child to Jeff and Margaret Roberts. Frances resided her whole life in the Cedar Grove Township, and she attended and graduated from Aycock High School. It was there that she met and later married the love of her life, J. C. Sharpe. Frances and J. C. shared fifty-eight years together. After graduation, Frances attended Croft Business College of Durham. She later earned a registered Nursing Degree from Watts School of Nursing. She worked and retired from Durham Regional Hospital in 1999. Frances was the ultimate caregiver, as was evident by the compassion she showed for her family, friends and total strangers. Her concerns were always for someone else, never herself. Frances had a lot of loves which included her family first and foremost, Christmas shopping, gardening, moving grass, baseball, good hot dogs and her beloved NC Tarheels; especially when they were kicking Duke's butt! Frances was predeceased by her father, Jeff Lee Roberts, her mother, Margaret Hughes Roberts, brothers: Bill and Henry Lee Roberts, and her sister, Peggy Roberts Bradsher. She is survived by her husband, J. C. Sharpe, her sons, Charles Sharpe (Kay), and Jeff Sharpe (Shelia), her daughter, Jeanne Walker (Jimmy), five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Noel Bradsher, and numerous other loving family members. Although Frances has gone to heaven, she will always be missed, loved, and never forgotten. The family will receive friends Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Walker's Funeral Home, 204 N. Churton St., Hillsborough, NC. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that memorial donations be made to: Duke Ovarian Cancer, Duke Medical Center Campus Box 3079, Durham, NC 27710, attention Dr. Berchuck. Walker's Funeral Home, Hillsborough is honored to be serving the Sharpe family. Online condolences may be made at www.Walkersfuneralservice.com
