Obituary of Gary Wayne Perry

Hillsborough- Mr. Gary Wayne Perry died Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born in Maryland and attended school in Maryland and Wake Forest. He has been in Orange County for 50 years where he worked in home construction. He also worked for Pike Electric for 30 years in which he traveled a lot. He attended New Sharon U. Methodist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and his family especially his grandson, Carson. Surviving are his wife, Sheila, his son, Christopher B. Perry (Heather), his grandson, Carson B. Perry, three sisters: Linda K. Caldwell (Charlie), Patty Calvert (John), and Terry Parsley (Paul), two brothers: Greg Perry and Vester Perry, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and one special niece, Alyssa Caldwell. He was predeceased by his parents, Celia and Vester Perry, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday in New Sharon UMC. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Walkersfuneralservice.com
