Beryl was the truest friend one could have. We met more than 20 years ago during a desert excursion in the Egyptian Sahara. Since then she's become intrinsically part of our close circle of friends. She brought joy to anyone that was lucky enough to be in her surroundings and she was the one force that always brought us together. I will never forget her heart warming open house parties on thanksgiving and christmas days. Beryl, we miss you… Till we meet again my friend. Abbas Fahmy

Beryl was my good neighbor, dear friend and a role model for a devoted mother, professional woman in an international workforce, adoring grandmother, loyal to a fault and above all, an independent spirit. She was fierce, determined and headstrong, when she didn't like what she found she went at it with all her might. I will miss having tea and conversation with her and seeing the world through her eyes. Nancy Sabino
