I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother and father Jim. I am unable to attend the funeral but I am certainly praying for you and your family. The greatest legacy a mom and dad can leave is their children. Jim you have made that legacy a higher standard from this time forward. God bless you during this time in your life.

We send most sincere condolences to the family of Libby and Dwight Walters. Many, many people in Orange County and elsewhere appreciated and admired them.
Libby was in the Orange County Clerk's office when the statewide court system was first started in 1968. She was one of the people who had to struggle to carry through the implementation of that system. It was an enormous undertaking. The court system operated on a shoestring. Some courtrooms were too small, so they were crowded and chaotic -- but, thank goodness, Libby was there!
She served as deputy clerk for 36 years. She was the heart of the clerks office: dependable, accurate and reliable. There she was, steady as a rock, year after year, undaunted. Everyone loved her.
When she retired, it was a sad day. It was hard to visualize the clerk's office without her.
The people of Orange County should honor Dwight Walters for his service to our country in WW II, and his excellent work for the NC Division of Motor Vehicles. Libby Walters should be honored for her work, cited above. They both should be honored for the many fine things they have done. And they both should be honored for being married and a team for 67 years.
