Obituary of Henry Wilson

Chapel Hill - Henry Wilson, Sr., 88, of Chapel Hill passed away July 27, 2016 at his home. He was born March 6, 1928 in Akron, Oh to the late Jule B. and Iva Dillard Wilson. He was married to the late Mary Catherine Cates Wilson. He was a lifelong resident of Carrboro and Chapel Hill and was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. He was a mechanic and worked at several local shops, and he loved woodworking. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wilson and brother J.B. Wilson. He is survived by his son, Henry Wilson, Jr. and wife Nancy of Chapel Hill, and his daughter Brenda Greenberg of Chapel Hill, five grandchildren, Kyle Greenberg, Brent Greenberg, Justin Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Jeremy Wilson, and a great-grandson, Codie Wilson. The family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Walkers Funeral Home of Chapel Hill. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker's Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Rich Greenway officiating. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Carrboro, NC.
