Obituary of Corena Maileece Johnson
Please share a memory of Corena to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Corena Maileece Johnson was born January 20, 1998 and passed on October 4, 2017 as a result of a car accident. She was a full time student at ACC working toward becoming a pediatric neurological psychiatrist, since before completing high school. I often often compared her intellect to that of Einstein. She could have taken a full ride at a University right out of high school, but as nana's princess she refused to leave or over obligate while nana (Vanessa Johnson) battled cancer. Nana's battle ended September 12, 2017 and service September 23. Corena had compassion and an empathy, that were infinite. She could listen, console you, cheer you up, and was always willing to help even if youy didn't ask. Her quick wit, beautiful smile, and big blue eyes brightened the lives of and touched so many. Recently on Facebook, she posted saying her preeminent goal was to be at least half as nurturing, gracious and valiant as me (mom)! Anyone that knew her knew she'd done that a million times over, probably before first grade. I am so very proud of Corena and everything about her and am honored beyond measure, to be her mom. She is my best friend, the love of my life, my hero, and simply my world. She is survived by her mother Ronda Johnson, Brother Dylon Johnson. Three uncles Matt Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Gene Johnson and wife Melanie. She is also survived by two cousins Julian Agudelo and Cristian Zuluaga. Great Aunt Diane Green (Roy), Two great grandmothers Sylvia Williams and Levone Woodring. One Grand Father Monty Johnson. She is preceeded in death by her nana Vanessa Johnson.
