Obituary of Rachel Rierson Williams

Rachel Rierson Williams, 77, of Chapel Hill, NC passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 with her devoted family by her side. Rachel was born August 30, 1939 in Guilford County, NC to the late Oscar and Mattie Flippin Rierson. She was the widow of the late Kenneth L. Thomas. She was a gentle soul and a sweet spirit who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Free Christian Church of God in Continental, OH, she loved watching their live stream every Sunday. Left to cherish her many memories are her husband Bernie G. Williams, Sr. of Chapel Hill, NC, her daughters: Sherry Ellis and husband Jim of Louisburg, NC, and Angela Winstead and husband Randy of Kalida, OH, three grandchildren: Justin Winstead and wife Renee of Columbus Grove, OH and Ashleigh Webb and husband Michael of Kalida, OH and Jake Kiley of Louisburg, NC, two great-grandchildren: Brenden and Liam Winstead, three brothers: Kenneth Rierson and wife Evelyn of Summerfield, NC, Michael Rierson and wife Barbara of Stokesdale, NC and David Rierson and wife Connie of Greensboro, NC, her step-children: Junior Williams and wife Jenny, and Alice Williams and husband Wes Tilghman of Chapel Hill, NC. A private memorial service to honor Rachel was be held at Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill.
