I was truly hoping to show my respect for Jim by attending the gathering your family has planned today, but due to an unexpected family illness, I will not be able to attend. So, I would just like to share a few words about Jim. I will always remember the wonderful times that I spent with Jim and Danny Greene having cook-outs at my house in West Durham. You just never knew when Jim would show up and my house or at Danny's Granny Utley's house. He always had something comical to say to have you rolling in the floor. Of course, Jim and Danny had their serious side of talking about or repairing a vehicle. Which both of them loved to do. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My heart goes out to each of you as you grieve his loss. My God bless you with His peace at this time.

Mike - You were the one who introduced Jim to me so many years ago. I'm sad to hear this news, but glad you stayed in touch with Jim. Just like you said below, he is in the Lord's bodyshop now. He was a true artist with cars and metal and paint.
