Obituary of Edna Brewer Woods

HURDLE MILLS - Edna Brewer Woods of Hurdle Mills, NC, died September 8, 2013 at Carolina Point Healthcare. Edna was born April 11, 1921 to John and Sarah Brewer in Rochester, New York. She moved to Charlotte, NC at a young age with her family. After marrying Charles Woods in 1947, Orange County was home until her death. Edna is survived by her daughter, Andria W. Bailey (Keith) of Hurdle Mills, two sons: Ray Woods (Linda) of Winterville, GA and Charles Woods (Charlene) of Hurdle Mills, five granddaughters: Heather W. Myers (Joel), Holly W. Ruth (Chris), Jessamy W. Cotten (Kyle), Rebecca W. Yap (Basil) and Britta W. Pillis (Jeff), five great granddaughters: Zora and Guinevere Yap, Annabella Ruth, Leela Pillis, and Mariah Myers; and two great grandsons: Kambric and Blaide Cotten. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Woods; sisters: Ruth, Lillian and Dora; and brothers: Marvin, Walter, and Charlie. Visitation will be at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough, NC on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 12 noon-2:00 PM. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in Walker's Funeral chapel with Daniel Farris and Carl Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. The family would like to thank Carolina Point Healthcare for their care and kindness to our mother.
