Hillsborough- Mrs. Lottie Terrell Andrews, 89, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away on January 17, 2017 in Burlington, NC. Mrs. Andrews was born in Hillsborough to Charlie Lee Terrell and Lucy Dixon Terrell on March 7, 1927 and was one of 6 children. She went to school at Hillsborough High School. She married Dock Andrews on June 22, 1945 in Hillsborough. She was a wonderful mother to her 8 children She worked as a Weaver for Cone Mills for 40 years. After her retirement from Cone Mills she worked for many years at Andrews Green House and The Village Diner. She loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens. It was in the kitchen where she truly excelled. Her scratch made biscuits, cakes and pies were always in demand. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her husband Dock Andrews, a son Darrell Andrews, her 4 sisters and a brother. Mrs. Andrews is survived by her 3 sons and 4 daughters, Dennis of Hillsborough, David (Carol) of Pittsboro, Donnie of Durham, Myrna of Burlington, Debra of Burlington, Pam (Billy Sykes) of Hillsborough, Kelly (Denny Stroud) of Burlington and Diana (Jason Beswick)) of Hurdle Mills. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren Pallbearers will be her grandsons Visitation will be Friday January 20, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough. Other times the family will be at the home of Diana Parker 3713 Brown Road, Hurdle Mills, NC Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation in the Chapel at Walker's with Manley Palmer of Hillsborough officiating. Burial will follow at the Town of Hillsborough Cemetery. Arrangements are by Walker's Funeral Home. The family of Mrs. Andrews wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Mavis Moore for her generous love and devotion to our mother. Mavis, you were truly her best friend and "partner in crime".
