Obituary of Leonard Lacock

Rev. Leonard Lacock, 86, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Westchester Manor with his family by his side. Rev. Lacock was born February, 17, 1930 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and was the husband of the late Bobbie Lou Buck Lacock. He pastored several Church of God churches in North Carolina and Tennessee. He also enjoyed working some part-time jobs in the area such as his uncle's shoe store, Lacock Shoes, Walker's Auto Parts and Cliff's Meat Market. In his free time, he loved to fish and deer hunt. He was a member of College View Church of God in Raleigh. He never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. Rev. Lacock is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Barbara Lacock of Thomasville, NC, his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki L. and Donnie Pate of Johnson City, TN, his grandchildren, Tony Coulter and Terrence Coy. Graveside funeral services will be held, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Westwood Cemetery, Carrboro, NC. The family will visit with friends after the service.
