To the Mann Family.
I just learned of the passing of your wonderful Husband, Father, Father in Law, Grandfather, and all other relatives and I was truly saddened to hear this news. I remember first meeting the Mann family in 1973 as a new social studies teacher at Orange High and it just doesn't seem possible that the years have gone racing by so fast.
I always tell students that none of us had an opportunity to choose our parents and some children ended up in a good place and others didn't. The Mann children were truly blessed to have ended up in the hands of two wonderful parents who epitomized what true loving parents are supposed to be. You guys were truly blessed to have had your Dad and are continued to be blessed with your wonderful Mom.
Sincerely,
Dr. H

Among Eddie's many important contributions for our community was his dedicated service on the OWASA Board of Directors from 1980 to 1988. This was before I joined OWASA, but I'm well aware of the important leadership he provided the community and OWASA in establishing the Cane Creek Reservoir. Like so many, I always found Eddie (and his family) to be such a warm and caring person. Keeping Eddie, his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. Ed Kerwin

I had the pleasure of working with Eddie at CAHEC for nearly 10 years. His tireless efforts to support our fledgling organization; his encouragement and commitment to us all, was second to none. I will always fondly remember our annual retreats; especially in Williamsburg, VA! We celebrated our successes, strategized for the future and had a LOT of FUN! Eddie was a challenging and inspiring mentor and a longtime friend. I will love and cherish my memories of Eddie's gentleness, caring and southern hospitality.

I will always remember how Eddie helped me get started in the appraisal business back in the 80's. I was young and new to the business and he welcomed me to his Orange Federal Savings and Loan list of approved appraisers. I did not have a lot of experience or confidence but he helped me gain both. He was a warm and personal with high degree of integrity. My sincerest condolences to all the family. Pam Davis

Eddie was a true gentleman. I got to know him more than 50 years ago when we both were in Jaycees. I have held him in high regard and always looked forward to connecting with him when I could. He was a stalwart of the community. Blessings on all the family!
