Obituary of Ruth Dodson Thomas

Ruth Dodson Thomas CHAPEL HILL - Funeral services for Ruth Dodson Thomas, age 86, who passed away on October 5th will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday October 11th at Farrington Road Baptist Church in southwest Durham County. The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 prior to the service. Interment will be at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro immediately after the service. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband of 64 years, John E. Thomas, Sr. She is also survived by four children, John E. Thomas, Jr. and wife, Arlene of Durham, Mary Ann Ryan and husband, Ed of Havelock, NC, Ellen Ellis of Carrboro, and Eugene Thomas and wife, Leisa of Sanford. She is survived by four grandchildren: Stacey Thomas, Haley Thomas, William Ryan, and Cory Thomas; and by a brother, James R. Dodson and wife, Barbara of Athens, TN.
