Matt distinguished himself academically at UCSF and had a great sense of humor. I first met him in the hallway, while he was talking with his dad, Fritz. I commented on the strong family resemblance. Without missing a beat, Matt replied with a grin "Yes, but I'm the good looking one." Matt's caring dedication to the health and wellbeing of others, and his easy-going humor will be remembered always. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with Matt's family and friends.
