Obituary of Estelle Barbee

CHAPEL HILL Estelle Barbee, 79, of Chapel Hill passed away at WakeMed in Cary on Saturday, October 19, 2013 after a brave battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rob and Ruby Maynor of Carrboro, her husband, "Pete" Barbee, her son, Steve Barbee and her brothers, Wilbert, Carlton, and Homer Maynor. She is survived by her daughter, Melba Barbee, granddaughter, Gwen Harris (Victor), great grandchildren, Madalynn and Alex, granddaughter, Stephanie Mueller, great grandchildren, Jaxson and Reagan and nieces and nephews. A wake will be held at Walker's Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm. A memorial service will be conducted at Walker's Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. A graveside service will be held at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro following the service.
