On behalf of the Berryhill Community and the Chapel Hill - Carrboro Public School Foundation, I want to share what a wonderful kind neighbor Mary Beth was. As board president of the PSF, she dedicated her time and energy to supporting students and teachers. We were so lucky to have Mary Beth as a member of our community. She will be missed.

Even though Mary Beth and I grew up only 1/2 hour apart, we met in Chapel Hill at a party. We really clicked and soon realized we had so much in common. We both had an interest in supporting education so I joined the Board of the Public School Foundation and became fast friends with Mary and John. Over the years, we had so many fun times together. Mary was always my confidant during some difficult times and was my go-to person for anything Chapel Hill or Durham. We each picked our brains and Mary was always my sounding board. I will miss your smiling face, caring disposition, and ability to always find the good in every situation. Love you Mary Beth! Lauren (and John) Paparone
