The loss of my dear friend and colleague Harold is profoundly cruel and untimely. It is too soon to lose both him and our cherished friendship. As Harold was recovering, we had plans for lunch and a half marathon together—activities that now remain as bittersweet memories of what could have been. Harold had a remarkable way of pushing me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to explore new ideas and experiences. His willingness to go out of his way to procure hardware and software for me to experiment. I am deeply grateful for the time we spent working together and for the many conversations we shared. Harold's spirit, enthusiasm, and kindness have left an indelible mark on my heart.

He was one-of-a-kind. Harold and I grew closer over the past year or so as I sought his input on many topics. He gave me some great advice for which I am very grateful. I am sorry for your loss. He was a fantastic person who will be missed by so many, especially me.
