We have wonderful memories of great Guthrie family gatherings on Christmas Eve when we were all children. Aunt Dru was always so kind and always spent time talking to us. We love you all and our hearts are with you, as well as our prayers!

We were so blessed to have Mrs Guthrie for childcare from the very first day I went back to work when Brooke was just 3 months old. She was a wonderful, kind Christian person and so great and patient with all the kids. Brooke was treated like a little princess and I know we couldn’t have found anyone better anywhere to take care of our daughter. We are still so very thankful to Mrs Guthrie for taking such great care of our Brooke. Mrs Guthrie was a very special person and she will be great missed by everyone who knew her.

Don and family, I was saddened to hear of Dru's passing. I have fond memories from my youth of Dru and her sisters, my first cousins. During the 60's Dru and Diana would frequently come out to the country to help my family during the summer tobacco season. As a child, I found their visits so uplifting. Their presence made a difficult job so much more bearable through their antics. They kept us all laughing as we worked. I have fond memories of being with Dru as she and her sisters gathered around the piano in their living room to sing hymns in harmony. Those were good times that provided me with much needed respites from a home life that at times was troubling. Those memories will stay with me forever. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time for you and your family. Love, Mark
