I first met Scott 25 years ago.
We hung out with the same crowd so i would see him often,
As the years passed I saw him less often.
However when I did see him I would always cry out
"YAHOOOOO!! IT'S SCOTT NEVILLE!"
Scott had a way of talking where he would laugh as he was speaking about the situations he found himself in, the people he met or just everyday circumstances. He was so funny that I could not help but to break out in laughter myself!
A great memory and one that I will certainly remember him by.
I fell in love with Scott because of his infectious laugh and his Southern rebel ways. I can just picture him driving down the road in his truck with the confederate flag mounted, on the back , flapping in the wind as he drove by.
Each year, for 25 consecutive years, I called him on his birthday to sing him a happy birthday song.
He subsequently told me how much he looked forward to that call. I
told him countless times how grateful I have been to have him in my life.
I will miss making that call to him on his birthday, January 14, for the rest of my years,
It gave me such joy to let him know how much I cherished our friendship.
Years ago, I began stopping by the Neville Dairy Farm. Although Scott was usually at his body shop working on cars, I came regularly to spend time with Bryant, Sandra and Julie. I feel as if they are my own family.
I like to think that they adopted me, when in fact it was ME who adopted THEM!
It was by God's grace that I ran into Scott 2 weeks before he died, at our favorite White Cross dive bar, The Kraken.,
We spent a good long while together, with him laughing along with himself , as he recalled various things that had happened since we last talked.
As always, I Could NOT resist laughing out loud, along with him.
It's not that he told jokes or made fun of other folks, it was just his way of seeing the world.
Scott knew I loved him,. I praise the Lord for that.
"I LOVE YOU SCOTT NEVILLE!!"
was the last thing he heard from me , as he walked away
RIP CatBird..

My sincerest condolences to Scott's family. He was a great person to know. He did some work on my car and every time I saw him(at white cross store) he always had a smile on his face. He always made me laugh. I am blessed to have known him and I am saddened by his passing. Rest in Heaven Scott.

My love and prayers are going to the family, he was such a great guy and we have so many great memories between our families. I loved going to the farm, or even going to his shop with my dad. May he rest in piece.

If you knew him, you loved him. If you didn’t know him, you missed out on a “cream puff.”Absolutely lived life to the fullest. Can’t possibly be another soul like him in the world. So full of fun and laughter. If he was in your presence, you were smiling. We will all be sharing stories of him for the rest of our lives. Life down here has forever changed. We envy the angels, for they can see him, hear him, touch him, and laugh with him.
Scott-rod, how sweet it was while you were here. You’re gonna be missed until the day we each see you again. Till then, you and GY will be planning our arrival party!
