Our sincere condolences to Carolyn, Cheryl, and the rest of Danny's family. We remember meeting Danny in 1973 and were privileged to be his friend all these years. I also knew him as a great Dad to Cheryl. You chose a perfect picture of Danny- just the way we will always remember him.
Sincerely,
Betsey and Meade Christian

I cannot express how sad I am to hear of Danny's passing. I had not seen Danny in many years, but, I have wonderful memories of spending time with him, Callie and Cheryl, where the topic of conversation would at some point lead us to discussing our favorite team, the Tarheels. I also remember Danny as a very sweet, caring and genuine man whose love for his family was so apparent. My heart goes out to Callie, Cheryl and all of their family. Please know that you are all in my thoughts at this difficult time.
My deepest sympathy,
Shelly Jackson

Danny was the best kind of neighbor. Always friendly, kind, and generous. It won't be the same around here without you, my friend.

Aunt Carolyn, Cheryl, and Tabitha,
My prayers and thoughts are with you all. In particular, I pray that peace be with each of you as you mourn the loss of a husband, a father, and a grandfather.
If I imagine heaven right at this moment, I imagine Uncle Danny sitting across from Coach Dean Smith, and perhaps even some of the players, and discussing Tar Heel basketball and I'm sure Uncle Danny is giving Coach Smith some advice on how he could have played certain games better...
In my mind, I still see him with his dark hair and tanned skin, standing tall in Grammy Doris's living room, wearing a pale blue button down shirt with an ink pen and calendar tucked into his shirt pocket discussing Carolina basketball.
Godspeed, Uncle Danny. We love you.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Carolyn and Cheryl, I had many good times with Danny back in our bowling days and pulling so hard for the Tar Heels. Danny was a class act and the perfect example of what a gentlemen should be. God Bless!
With Love,
David Rovetto

I have so many memories of Danny. Some of the fondest memories is going to Carolina Football games. Callie and Danny would take me to several games every year but especially for my birthday. We would always have a fatastic time. He was always calm while Callie and I went crazy. He was such a sweet man. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. I'm praying for the entire family. Love to all, Tina Gilliam Morris
