I had the pleasure of working with Sandy for about 16 years. She was joy. Always a kind word and consideration for everyone. Genuine appreciation for any small kindness directed to her. When we met it became apparent quickly and remained apparent that of all the happiness in her life, the love of her children was the most meaningful contributor to her joy. She told me on more than one occasion that what she appreciated most from her husband was that he helped make it possible for her to stay at home and spend time with her children as they grew. And of course, her grandchildren multiplied her happiness manyfold. She had cherished friends all the back thorough elementary school, and frequently spoke of family and friends. Now she is missed.
