Our family is deeply saddened to learn of sweet Ethels passing. Because of the business relationship that she had with our family, I’ve known her as long as I can remember. She was a smart, hardworking woman who built one of the most successful restaurants in the area. We considered her as family. We are the better for having been called her friends. Our love and prayers for y’all. I’m so thankful that I took Daddy to visit her a few months back. They both enjoyed that visit so much. God bless. Cindy, Tom and Wayne Herndon Trent and Maggie Baker

Such a sweet lady who knew everyone who came into the diner. I had the privilege of working with her daughter, Teresa, for many years at which time Ms. Ethel welcomed all of Teresa’s friends and co-workers into the diner and her home. Prayers for your family Ms. Ethel, but I know you will continue to watch over them.
