My condolences to the Hughes family. I had the pleasure to worked with Mrs. Hughes for 4 - 5 years at Central Elementary school.I was her classroom assistant. She was an awesome teacher. She love the children. She put her heart in sole in teaching. I’m so blessed to have her as a friend and coworker. The family will be in my prayers.

I am very saddened to hear of Mrs Hughes’s passing. I was one of her first grade students in the early 80’s and remember those times fondly. I also had the pleasure of seeing her many times since then as I visited my old school, and was always happy that she remembered me and asked about me and my sister who had also been a student. She will be greatly missed.
