David Booker..Ivwas born in 58..he in 59...he was in all my primary grade classes at Fuquay-Varina.. He & his family vacationed together..his older brother Danny, sister Martha..& later Elizabeth. His Moma..Esther, Dad Bob Booker...these childhood memories are dear to me. It is now august 2021...I had no idea he was already gone..God Bless you David...I believe you now have peace in Heaven with Jesus.

worked with booker for something like 10 years or so starting around 92ish, lots of long shifts together. he's one of the only friends i've ever had that we never said a cross word to one another.

I will always remember Booker and his mopad and seein him over at my sister and brother in laws house. He was a rear friend and his humor was one that could make anyone smile, just four months so I pulled into the shell and had the tire pressure checked in my car and we talked for a while just about the old days! I will truly miss his smile and kindness he had for myself and I’m sure others, he will forever live in my heart . Of rest his soul and I pray for strength and understanding for his family

Booker was such a kind sweet man to people and animals. Everybody knows Booker ! He is an icon of Hillsborough as Daniel Boone himself. I had not seen him in a good while since the Shell station was sold. Back then everyone there was my extended family. I am very very sad to know he is gone. Maybe it's a blessing for him because The town is destroying the place that he called home for so long. Now with so many in heaven that built and made this town what it is or was. They will have built a Daniel boone village on Good Lord's streets of gold. And who else would the Good Lord want to greet the out of towners coming in but Booker! Rest in peace my friend.

I was saddened to learn of David passing. I met him many years ago at his workplace and liked him right off. We had many conversations that ranged from the improbable to some very serious topics in which he would share his thoughts and insight. He could get downright deep upon occasions. The amount of hours that he worked serving the public was in it's self impressive in it's total some weeks.. I will miss my friend.

I have known Booker all my life My dad used to work at the shell station. He was always good to me and he always had ways of making you laugh. He will be missed Rest in peice my friend until we meet again

I have known Booker for many years at Daniel Boone Schell ,he was always helpful to me when i needed to have air checked in my tires and get a flat repaired. He will certainly be missed at the Schell. To his family and sister Martha Rose (whom i work with @SEI) you are in my thoughts and prayers. I met Booker years ago at Daniel Boone Shell. He was one of a kind...Always happy to check my oil, tires, etc. I always enjoyed kidding with hm, many years back, I went there one day and he wasn't feeling to well...I said Booker what in the world is wrong, you are not your happy, cheerful self today...He said Ms. Sandy I am tired. I replied Booker you didn't stay up all night with a wild woman did you, of course he said NO...That became our joke through the years. Everytime I went to Daniel Boone Shell, I would ask for Booker and I always said, Booker are those wild women still chasing you...He would just laugh and say yea, I can't get rid of all them...Now for the serious side. Booker was one of the nicest young men I have ever met. He was also so respectful and nice and well mannered and such a hard worker. You don't find many guys like him anymore, and he will be missed by all who loved and knew him thru the years.Prayers and hugs are being sent to all his family and friends.
