Obituary of Patricia Ann Drumheller

Patricia Mitchell Drumheller

Pat completed her six year long battle with a severe form of dementia in the late evening hours of January 15, 2019 at home in Mebane surrounded by family and caretakers at the age of 63.  She was born on October 28, 1955 in Watts Hospital in Durham to DeWitt and Belle Mitchell.  Pat graduated from Southern Durham High School in 1974 and primarily worked in clerical type positions until 1995 when the declining health of multiple relatives led her to assume a full time homemaker role.  She married Edward Drumheller on August 13, 1983 and gave birth to her only child, David, on July 15,1985.  She was an extremely devoted wife and mother who was an avid animal lover, especially dogs, but also enjoyed her colony of active outdoor cats in her later years.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, DeWitt Mitchell.  She is survived by her mother Belle Bailey, her husband Edward, and her son David all of the home, along with her brother Lee (Barbara) Mitchell of Durham and their son Steven. She is also survived by two step-children Cindy Hayse and Mark Drumheller both of Melbourne, Australia.

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Walkers Funeral Home and Crematory of Mebane, 304 West Center Street in Mebane.
