I am an independent music teacher, a pianist, here in Chapel Hill for many years. Terry Patrickis is Marilyn's daughter and an outstanding flutist. We met and became friends in the late 70s when Terry was pursuing her masters and studying with Brooks de Wetter-Smith. I only met Marilyn a few times but know Terry so well and so all my condolences to her and all the family and friends who knew Marilyn so well. All my prayers and condolences because Marilyn and Nick's legacy, and intelligence, humor, kindness, talent lives on in their family. Blessings, Frances Heutte Schaefer

I feel so blessed to have gotten to know Marilyn since she’s moved to NC. Having her part of the Breakfast Club has been such a gift. She’s a wise woman with such a gentle and strong soul. Her strength will live on in the many people that she touched. I always admired her acceptance of life’s challenges. Prayers for your enormous loss. Gone but never forgotten. Teresa Flora
