Obituary of Ned Lloyd Johnson

Ned Lloyd Johnson of Hillsborough, N.C., passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at the age of 89.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Susan Riley Johnson, his children Ronald Johnson (Cindy), Linda Johnson Morton (David), Joel Johnson (Tanya), grandchildren Jeffrey Johnson (Madison), Laura Morton Dunn (Miles), Lee Morton, and brother Robert Johnson.

Ned lived most of his life in the Schley community where he farmed and was a member of the Schley Grange. He served in the Army and worked for Western Electric / AT&T for 30 years. He was an avid golfer in retirement and enjoyed the friendships of fellow golfers.

He was a lifelong member of New Sharon United Methodist Church, where a visitation and service were held Wednesday, September 12. 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to New Sharon United Methodist Church.

The family is under the care of Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
