Billy, Homer and I were the best of friends for so many years. He was always the smartest in his class, and the best baseball player ever. I could always count on him to be honest and trustworthy : a guy I could share anything with. His sense of humor was well known and we often talked about how he and I used to put on a "Bob and Ray" show over the Red Jacket High School PA system, much to the chagrin of our Latin teacher, Miss Johnson. I feel his loss very deeply, and pray for "Homer" and the family.
Thinking of my O’Donnell family from Chapel Hill. I appreciated Uncle Bill’s support and insight throughout my athletic career and our great discussions over the years. It was great to see his passion for Tarheel sports and all things baseball. Sending love and prayers to all of you during this difficult time. Hopefully, UB and Grandpa Dan are reunited in heaven. Both were good men who will continue to be missed dearly. ❤️
Aun Carmaine, Kevin,Karen, Sean and Maureen,
