Our deepest and sincere condolences to all! We feel such sorrow~only the promise of heaven, spending eternity with Jesus gives us hope at this time! We all shall see Marv and his energetic, smiling face again!!
Such good memories of our bike trips together!
Thankfully we owned an Acura or we wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet Marv and give us all such enjoyable weekends together!!
We will be out of town this weekend and will sadly miss the chance to personally give you hugs and our sympathies. A big regret!
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
With love!

I met Marv after I moved to Ashbury Crossing Cottages some 5 years ago. We both served on the Homeowner Board and he gave much time to carrying out his responsibilities with care and attention. I shall miss our conversations and interaction. He expressed confidence right up to the last time we spoke - a few weeks ago. My sincere condolences to Joyce and the family. Rita

I have known Marv for four plus years while he was Board President of the Ashbury HOA, as well as Board President of Ashbury Crossing HOA. Yes, he and I had a professional relationship, but I also considered him a dear, dear friend. My heart is breaking to hear this news as I know he fought so hard and had a plan to beat this disease. Joyce and family, please know that Marv was special to me and so many other folks that were lucky enough to cross his path. He was funny, kind and very special to me. I wish I could get one more email from him, even if it was to give me a task to do. I am truly going to miss him so much. My prayers are with you all. Sincerely, Kim Underwood

I was a classmate of Marv at PTHS and a good friend. I always loved his sense of humor, his wisdom, and his smile. HIs mom worked in the high school office and always greeted us with a smile. Hugs and prayers to Joyce, Jenifer, and the rest of the family. We are deeply sorry for your loss.

This is Tim Schutz, and I just became aware of Marv's passing.
My heartfelt condolences to Joyce and the rest of his loved ones.
Marv and I worked together at Performance Acura for several years, and I am honored to say that I had come to know him as a friend.
Professionally and personally, Marv was always the same guy; courteous, compassionate, and had one of the quickest wits of anyone I have ever met.
Did I mention funny?
He was.
We both were in the Navy, although we didn't know each other then.
He was a commissioned officer who attained the rank of Commander, I was enlisted.
I used to ask Marv "what the heck (sic) are you doing HERE??"
His conduct was always becoming of an officer, and clearly, he could have been doing something better somewhere else. He would reply with something along the lines of “I get to really help people here”.
I wonder if Marv ever knew that he was not only helping his customers, but his co-workers as well.
When I would see Marv dealing with a difficult client (or employee – I am not admitting anything - j/k), the way he would handle it was always with care, logic and calmness. Invariably, both parties were satisfied and felt respected. I picked up some of that from Marv. Thank you.
Please feel the prayers and love that I am sending to you, Joyce, and Marv’s family and friends.
Although decades have passed, I have never forgotten him.
