Jorge kicked the field goal to win the state football title for South View High School in Hope Mills, near Fayetteville, back in 1991, and was a kicker for the UNC football team. Heavenly Father, our prayer is that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, that peace will guard the hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus of the Rios family during this time of loss and grief. And that they will dwell in the secret place of the most High and shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty; for the Lord, he is our refuge and our fortress: our God; in him we can trust. Surely he shall deliver us from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. We can make a claim on God's word that when we cast our burden upon the Lord, He shall sustain us; and that he heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. God watches over his word to perform. We bind satan from stealing God's word from the Rios family hearts and loose the light of the glorious gospel of Christ Jesus to shine within their hearts forever, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
