Never anyone more full of love and life. A joy to be around and she lit up every room she entered. Whatever kind of problems or day you were having , they all disappeared when you met her. RIP from your cousin

God strengthens us by giving us "the power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)

Dear family and friends of Valinda,
I loved Valinda very much and she brought many smiles to brighten my days. She was also loved by my brother, Ralph. He fixed her hair and she would joke and tell him that she had to rob a bank to pay him for doing her hair. Never a dull moment when she was in our mist. This world needs more people like Valinda who bring so much joy just by being themselves. She will be truly missed but I am sure that Ms.Lizzie and Mr. Oscar were glad to welcome her home! Valinda will live forever in our hearts and thoughts of her will always bring a smile!

Valinda was a very special person and cousin. She took me to square dances when I was too young to go, but she knew I wanted to go. When she was at DUMC, she was a tremendous advocate for me and my family. She loved Gospel Music, and we shared a memorable visit together to Laurinbutg, NC for Family Day at the Church of God where our cousin Steven Edward Adams serves as Pastor. It was a fantastic day of celebration and singing.I know she is celebrating and singing in Heave forever and filled with joy to be with her Savior and those she loved and cared for that proceeded before her.
