As you, Tracy, Jaada, & Tara, remember your Beloved, Honorable Mother. I was a neighbor when they first moved to Durham on Ivy Street (next door) and we stayed in touch as you girls always sold me Girl Scout Cookies. (Hope you remember) And I can say she was an extraordinary seamstress - very meticulous. She was a beautiful, loving person.
May it comfort you to know that--My Friend Thelma's spirit will live with you forever!! That death cannot diminish the important ways your Mother, Grandmother, touched your lives; that grief cannot take away the good times you shared; that sorrow will fade in time, but loving memories remain-- the beautiful, quiet smile; the motherly advice and guidance, and the love like no other, she shared with you all; know that all of these will remain in your heart forever.
I am also Thelma Diggs' first cousin. So sorry I was unable to get to visit her.
