DURHAM - Mrs. Doris Mae Davis Chappell, 80, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was a native of Durham County and a graduate of Durham County Schools. She was secretary at Wright's Machinery.
Surviving are one daughter, Deanna Chappell, Roxboro; a sister, Hazel Smith, Carteret Co.; a sister-in-law, Billie P. Davis, Roxboro; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Eleanor Davis; her husband, James T. Chappell ; two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, December 20, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Durham.
