Obituary of James Timothy Potts

Durham - James Timothy Potts died Monday, December 23, 2013. He was born and raised in Durham. He was a graduate of Northern High School Class of 1973. He was an Eagle Scout. He worked at Wilson Tree Service, Pike Electric and later UNC-CH for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating at Kerr Lake and his Harley motor cycle. Surviving are his mother, Sally Dunnegen Potts, his son, Derek T. Potts (Jessica), Durham; his brother, Thomas Potts (Mary Jo), Georgia and two sisters: Deborah P. Davis (Marvin), Asheville, and Susan P. Bowen, Durham. He was predeceased by his son Jared Potts and his father, James R. Potts. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. www.Walkersfuneral@aol.com
