Dear Barbour Family:
I am writing you today to offer my condolences for the loss of your loved one, Mr. Robert Earl "Bob" Barbour. I did not know Mr. Barbour personally, but I do know the hurt that is felt when someone we love falls asleep in death. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses , I find comfort in the Bible's promises for the future where we won't have to experience this pain anymore.
In fact, the Bible promises that in the near future, under God's Kingdom, we will no longer have to experience pain and suffering of any type, not even death. This promise can be found at Revelation 21:4. There it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
The Bible also promises that we have a hope of seeing our dead loved ones again. Acts 24:15 states "and I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
These are just two promises from God's Word that I wanted to share with you during this difficult time. I hope you continue to be comforted by the message of hope that can be found in the pages of the Bible. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
Again, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss and hope that this message provides you with encouragement for the days ahead.
