Obituary of Mary St. Clair Steece

Mary Ann St. Clair Steece of Hillsborough NC, age 85, died peacefully January 5 2014 in Chapel Hill NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Philip John Steece and her son Steven Philip Steece. Surviving are her daughter Mary Clare Steece-Julich and son-in-law Alan Julich of Mebane NC, her son Andrew St. Clair Steece of Southern Pines NC, her brother-in-law Robert B Steece of Scottsboro Ala. and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was born November 15 1928 in Washington DC to the late William F. and Alma E St. Clair. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Dumbarton College and then worked for the Federal Government. She married in 1950, became a mother and homemaker and lived in Mclean Va for 25 years before moving to Southern Pines NC in 1983. A memorial service will be held January 18 2014 at 1 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hillsborough, 1710 Old NC 10 Hillsborough NC 27278, www.uuchnc.org.
