Obituary of James Robert Gates

Hillsborough James Robert Gates, born December 15, 1931, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 15, 2014. James, who grew up in Hillsborough, was born in Caldwell to the late James W. Gates and Ruth C. Gates. He is preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Andrea; his infant son, James E. Gates; and his son-in-law, Larry Marcom. He is survived by his sister, Gladys Boyd and her husband, George; 2 daughters, Susan Marcom and Faye Gates; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Walker's Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsborough.
