Dear Paula and Pam,
So sorry about the loss of your mom (and dad). Your mom was talented, generous and fun loving. I remember her getting me through my 4-H sewing project, a hard-to-match plaid, lined jacket, in your living room. Wishing you both all the best.

Pam and Paula,
I will never forget your parents trips up north to see my grandparents. I couldn't wait to go and visit so I could hear the great adventures of Great Uncle Steve and Great Aunt Phyllis. They always had such wonderful stories from their travels! And they always brought the dog! (Which was such a delight to me as a child!)
You're mom was a wonderful woman! I'm sure she is enjoying her spot in heaven! Let our family know if we can do anything for you guys!

I will always cherish the 15 years I had the honor of knowing Phyllis. Not only was she my client, I considered her my friend, too. Every hair appointment was always filled with stories and laughter. We always exchanged birthday cards every year; I can only hope that I made her feel as special as she did me . Rest in peace, my pal .

Pam and Paula,
Aunt Phyl will be remembered as an intelligent, caring, considerate individual who always made us feel welcome and special. She always put others' needs before her own and was generous to all. We enjoyed how you always knew how she felt with no sugar coating for her. She will be missed, but hopefully she will be busy with Steve and enjoying the best golf courses available.
Love,
Don and Karen

Dear Pam and Paula,
You must be very sad that your mom has died. She was a wonderful person and we are all glad we knew her.
She was a little bit my mom, when I stayed with them in Port Elizabeth in 1978. We always kept in touch, she and I with letters and Dad and I by e-mail later.
Whenever they would pass through Amsterdam I would meet them and we would spend some time together.
I visited them in Kenya and introduced my new husband to my American mom and dad.
Later when they lived in South Carolina I brought the whole family. Mom was always happy to have us all and my boys will never forget the meals we had together at the diningroom table. Or the cakes she used to bake for them.
Dad would open the swimming pool and clear the biljard table. Happy times!
It is sad to realise we will never have to go to Greenville again. We will miss both of them.
Thinking of you,
With lots of love from
Bart, Thom, Koen, Peter and Nanny

It is with such sadness that I read that dear Phyllis has gone
All The Cuthberts feel so lucky to have known her. She was like a mother to Neil and I and Granny to Laura and Heather and a
very special godmother to Laura!
She was a very special person and our lives have been so much the better for having her in them.
I have Phyllis to thank for teaching me how to sew, cook raise two little children and for too many things to mention, especially when I first came to Kenya.
I am glad that she is not suffering anymore and is at peace with Steve.
Laura and Heather,(our girls) are coming to Kenya in April and we will have a kwaheri at home for her.
All our love to you both. We are thinking of you very much.
Linda and family xx
